Geology
Mountain ridges, desert canyons, swells across the ocean, crumpled paper, all share some kindred qualities that inspire much of my process of painting on paper and canvas. In this series, the evocation of geological phenomena is foregrounded. The crumpled and wrinkled textures are the jumping off point for these pieces that soon venture off into lives of their own.
